The Wadadli Short Film Festival, Antigua
To make a short film festival involves not only the filmmakers, actors and scriptwriters but also the hospitality sector, carpenters, local coordinators and if you are on a small island, the Prime Minister too.
The local community can be boosted by tourism and it becomes a showcase for the island’s unique culture and scenery. It provides opportunities for residents to engage with the arts, fosters creative expression, and can inspire local talent. A festival also encourages collaboration between visitors and locals and so generating economic and cultural growth.
With this collection the intent is to portray some of the essential people behind the making of Antigua’s first short film festival.
